I do believe that athletes should be lifting in season. Rather than lifting light weights with more reps (lower intensity higher volume), athletes should be lifting heavier weights and less reps (higher intensity less volume). If you lift light weights with many reps, you are putting too much stress on your body which leads to possible injuries without gaining strength. The easiest way to decide what is best for you is to see what you do in your sport and do less of what you do and more of what you don't. 2-3 days a week is enough for athletes lifting in season so on here I have a 3 day a week workout to do while training in season.
